Focused, outcome-oriented and repeatable sessions designed to help your people work through common challenges.

Nova has a new feature: Guided Exercises.

Guided Exercises give your people a more structured way to use Nova. Instead of an open-ended conversation, Nova can guide someone step-by-step through a focused, 5- to 10-minute session designed to help them understand what’s going on, work out what might be keeping them stuck, and take a practical next step.

Guided Exercises are already live within Nova, so there’s no setup or action needed from your team.

What are Guided Exercises?

Guided Exercises are short, structured conversations within Nova.

When someone is talking to Nova about a common challenge – such as stress, worry, feeling stuck, difficult emotions – Nova can suggest moving from open chat into a Guided Exercise.

From there, the session follows a simple, repeatable structure:

1. Understand what’s going on
Nova listens for the challenge the person is working through.

2. Work out what’s keeping them stuck
The conversation focuses on what may be getting in the way.

3. Work through a practical exercise
Nova guides the person through an exercise they can use straight away.

4. Leave with one clear action
Each session ends with a practical next step.

The full experience takes around 5 to 10 minutes and happens within the Nova your people already know and use.

What does this feature add to the Nova experience?

Guided Exercises add a more focused option alongside Nova’s open chat.

Rather than every interaction remaining an open-ended conversation, when a user raises a common wellbeing challenge like stress or feeling stuck, Nova can suggest moving into a guided exercise.

This gives members a clear path through a challenge in a single sitting: from understanding what’s going on, to working through it, to leaving with something practical they can do next.

Why Guided Exercises matter

The structured format is designed to do three things:

01. Give people something useful straight away

A short, structured session gives someone a practical exercise built around their specific challenge. It’s designed to be something they can use immediately, not just a conversation.

02. Turn a one-off try into a habit

Most people don’t go back to a chat tool unless the first experience gives them something real. Every Guided Exercise ends with a clear next step, giving people a reason to come back when they need support again.

03. A coach that guides

Nova guides people step-by-step through an exercise tailored to what they’re working through. It’s not a wall of instructions or a link to a video – it’s an interactive coaching experience that helps someone move from understanding the challenge to taking a practical next step.

That also makes the three benefits feel much cleaner:

  • Give people something useful straight away → immediate value
  • Turn a one-off try into a habit → repeat engagement
  • A coach that guides → what makes the experience different

What kind of support do Guided Exercises provide?

Guided Exercises are designed for coaching-style support around common wellbeing and workplace challenges including:

  • Stress
  • Worry
  • Feeling stuck
  • Difficult emotions

They are not designed for clinical diagnosis or therapy.

What do clients need to do?

Nothing.

Guided Exercises are already live for your people and sit within the Nova experience they already know and use. There’s no additional setup required.

When a Guided Exercise could be useful, Nova can suggest it within the conversation – giving your people a focused, structured way to work through a challenge and leave with one clear next step.
